I have been a teacher for 30 years. After receiving my Masters Degree in early childhood education, I taught in grades Pre-k grade 1.This included including children with special needs. I then earned a Doctorate in education and began teaching in teacher preparation course on the graduate and undergraduate levels. This also involved working with ESL students and helping them to develop reading, writing, and study skills. As a teacher and a tutor I assess each student's learning styles, her strengths, challenges, and interests in order to develop a teaching plan specifically designed for that student. I utilize a variety of materials and teaching strategies to best meet the needs of each student. In addition to tutoring I write books for children and young adults.
