How it works:

You find your chosen tutor and contact him or her through the link on the website. The tutor will quote you a price inclusive of a small element (currently $5 per hour) which goes to us to cover:

  • Recruitment of your tutor
  • Assessment of your tutor's abilities and suitability
  • Promotion of your tutor (via the website link you have just seen)
  • Support services of a global agency in the event of any problems (see below).

After the first lesson:

You would normally then contract direct with the tutor and pay him or her at the end of each lesson.

In the unlikely event of any difficulties we will be on-hand to advise but please note that the extent of our free advice must typically be limited to:

  • Advice over a suitable fee to pay for the second and subsequent lessons.
  • General safety advice and how to get the best out of tuition.
  • Suggested points to cover in any written contract.
  • The foregoing would normally be offered between first and second lessons. After that point, we may be prepared to intercede but not without payment of an administration fee to cover our costs

How much can I expect to pay the tutor?

We let the tutors set their own rates although when they apply they are told a range of fees which we think are reasonable for a qualified, professional person doing individual coaching. Any tutor we put you in touch with, will have accepted these fees and should be prepared to work within them.

To see the rates, please click here.

If a tutor is clearly trying to charge considerably in excess of these fees, please let us know. We cannot promise that we can get him or her to reconsider but this may be good grounds for a refund or location of an alternative tutor.

Please note that it is reasonable for tutors to charge an additional $4 to $5 per hour per additional student where the tuition is for 2 or more students at the same time.
