Large house for sale in the
centre of the Green Heart of Italy
House to view - Spring 2007
- SALE AGREED -
Photographs of our house at different times of
year.
The medieval walled village of
Gualdo Cattaneo. Although this wasn't taken from the house, the
view is from only a few yards along the white road.
Our half of the villa. Below the
terrace is the spacious cantina - a cellar which is accessed from
the courtyard. This is suitable for storage or for extending the
living area.
The villa from the main entrance
gate - you can just see the outline of the mountains away to the
left.
Our front room - about 40m2 - with
its newly-laid tiled floor. For music buffs, the acoustics in
here are fantastic!
One of several peach trees in our
garden - far too many for us to eat even after we had bottled a
whole load. Fortunately (?) our two Golden Retrievers liked them
too.
The Winter view through the arches
of the terrace. The mountains in the background (see photo below) are about 2,500m high
and border the National Park. Assisi is just
off-picture to the left.
It isn't always this cold!
The view over the olive grove from
the bedroom balcony.
You
can't say we're overlooked!
Wild strawberry trees grow in
abundance
near the house.
The
Piano Grande National Park - a huge depression which was once a
lake and is now given over to meadows. In spring (particularly),
the fields are a riot of wild flowers.
