EFL Training - English as a Foreign LanguageEnglish Lessons for Overseas Visitors EFL is rapidly becoming the most popular subject for businesses as many companies regularly recruit staff from overseas - especially the new EU countries from Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. We understand the need to communicate effectively and the urgency of getting staff trained. That's why we've had many international companies come to us for English language coaching. There are qualified EFL tutors throughout the country who can take students from not speaking a word of English to fluency and fine-tuning of diction. One-to-one EFL courses, like all of the other courses are designed around the specific needs and requirements of each client/student. Your employees do not enter a mixed ability group just to make extra profit and get the numbers of students up. Despite this being a bespoke service, most companies are pleasantly surprised at the cost which is usually less than of these so-called group classes. A good agency achieves this by being busy, not by charging inflated prices. Former business clients (for language work generally) have included Local Authorities, Customs & Excise, multi-nationals, oil companies, exporters, schools, colleges, sole-traders and airline cabin crew. Unlike groups, there exists the facility for offering a 'finishing school' where overseas students are taken with a good general grasp of the language and placed with engineering, law, medicine, economics or marketing specialists to teach them the more precise vocabulary that you, their employer, needs them to understand. There are hundreds of these tutors on the books teaching their own academic subjects and, although not for use tutoring beginners in English, they are ideal for the technical aspects of our language. As per the foreign language courses, intensive courses of 15, 30, 60 and 100 hours are offered for those in a hurry, or the steady 1 to 2 hours a week for students wanting the long term approach. Tuition can take place on a one-to-one basis or in small groups but the latter only if they are organised by the client. Please note though that although such groups will definitely result in a significant overall saving, they only work if all of the students are genuinely of the same ability and looking to achieve the same goals.
