Hi! I currently work as a Special Education teacher at an Elementary
School where I service 3rd and 4th grade students with a wide
variety of abilities and needs. I recently graduated from Marietta
College in Marietta, Ohio. There, I received my B.A. in Early
Childhood Education with Reading Endorsement. I have been in a
variety of classrooms ranging from a special education preschool
room, to a Gifted third grade room. As a student I taught
kindergarten and I have a wide knowledge of children in general. One
experience that I have had that has taught me a great deal was
helping to run a summer reading camp for at-risk readers. I spent a
month with four children ranging from 3rd to 5th grade. We played
reading games, read many books, and went on field trips. This
experience helped these at-risk students gain confidence as well as
gain knowledge. I'm a very creative and outgoing person and I love
my work!
