  • This course on Indian cookery consists of a set of ten lessons.

Each lesson will last for two hours and a different Indian dish will be taught in every lesson.

The first three lessons will teach you how to prepare the perfect starters and chutneys– samosas, pakoras, bhajis, chicken tikka, a whole variety of kebabs, chutneys (mint, coriander, yoghurt), soups.

The next five lessons concentrate on the main courses chicken jalfrezi, kofta curry, aubergine curry, daals and biryani (also included in this will be a session on preparing spices at home).

The final two lessons contain the desserts gulab jamun kheer , halva and saviyan (vermicelli based pudding)

Thus in a set of ten lessons you will learn how to cook at least four different varieties of three course Indian meals. There will be a recipe handout given at the end of the lesson so that you can build your own recipe portfolio. Not only this but you will have the access to the tutor’s phone number so that whilst you cook at home if you have any problems you can give her a ring.

For Vegetarians the whole course is replaced with vegetarian only recipes.

The course is taught from the tutor’s home because that is where the hundreds of spices she uses are kept and you can get a feel of how you should arrange your surroundings when practicing Indian cookery because it’s not just about following a recipe, it’s about learning a whole art form.

Sadeea is a professional cook specialising in Indian and Pakistani cooking. She has the knowledge of professional modern day Indian cooking as well as family secret recipes passed down over hundreds of years. She will take you step by step through her lessons until you are confident that you can do it yourself.
