Basic Number Skills to Business Mathematics
Our numeracy training for adults is very much geared to the needs of the individual student. Before commencing the course (which usually is a one, one and a half or two-hour session a week), the tutor will talk to you about what you want to achieve and what your deadline is. He or she will then prepare a programme of study for both of you to follow.
We have found that all of our adult numeracy students have different needs so hence this extremely flexible approach. Many come to us disillusioned by their experiences at local colleges which they have found inappropriate, slow-moving or embarrassing. With regard to the latter, our tutors are specially trained to deal with the numeracy needs of adults - they are there to help you. Please remember also that, as an agency, we tutor very young children as well as adults - confidentiality is a way of life for us. Your business will stay your business as far as we are concerned
For more advanced students, we offer courses in Business Mathematics - from multiplication tables to percentages, discounts, algebraic relationships and trig. When we first started as an agency, we had very few calls for these courses, but, with the increase in competition for jobs at all levels, they are proving quite popular.
If your requirements are neither, we can still help. We can do mental arithmetic speed testing, logic coaching, spreadsheet formulae and technician mathematics such as engineering relationships - you tell us what you want.
