Don't visit Italy without a trip to the small insular
country of San Marino

San Marino is a beautiful landlocked country located in the Apennine
Mountains and surrounded by the republic of Italy.

Good Public Transport means that it is not necessary to travel to San
Marino by car. A regular bus and shuttle service covers San Marino
districts such as Urbino, Piazzale and Calcigini, thus making it easier
to get to all the different parts of this country. If you still feel
that a car is essential, it is possible to hire one in San Marino.
Cars are barred from inside the walled area of San Marino.
Exploration within that area is usually by foot - just leave your car in
one of he safe car parks which are patrolled by the police. Given the
disastrous effect someone else's greed and thoughtlessness can have on
your holiday, it is a comforting thought to know that at least you car
will be there when you return and you will not be tied up for hours in
this small country filling in paperwork.
All in all, for such a small country, there is a lot to commend a
visit to San Marino.
